ROOM TO DREAM Workshop in the South of France 2020

Needless to say, I am thrilled and excited to be invited by the Colorado Photographic Arts Center to teach the Room to Dream workshop in the South of France for a second year. Last year, the experience was totally magical and I can’t begin to describe how inspiring the location is–right on the coast, in a castle, in a friendly French town 15 minutes away from Cannes!

Room to Dream will inspire all levels of photographers to not only capture the beauty of the South of France, but make work that is artful, personal, and filled with magic. I will lecture each morning, providing inspiration for new ways of seeing and creating work. Easy assignments will be given, leaving plenty of time to capture the beauty of the place. Afternoons may include field trips to museums, vintage open-air markets, a swim in Mediterranean, trips to Cannes or Nice, a ferry ride to the Isle of St. Marguerite or simply strolling in town or in castle and grounds with a camera in hand.

This is not a technical workshop, but instead one that inspires making photographs that go beyond the travel snapshot. One-on-one time with the instructor will be encouraged and feedback on work created during the workshop will take place throughout the week. As a photographer, editor, and educator, I will provide insights into all aspects of the photographic journey. Join us for a once in a lifetime experience in a magical setting by the sea. Take time from your daily life, leaving room to dream. It will be a week filled with laughter, light, learning, friends and adventures. And of course, croissants.
